Bad news: summer is almost over
This marks the time where the ladies are squeezing in our last wears of maxi dresses and the guys are putting their final burgers and kabobs on the grill…I wanted to share this recipe with you loves before it was time to bring out the cardigans and knee high boots.
Using the recipe from (*link to previous post*) “Your Favorite Pound Cake” follow the same steps to bake the pound cake. We’ll start from after the cake has cooled…
Ingredients:
Butter
Whipped cream
Ice cream (of your choice)
Fresh fruit (of your choice)
1. Cut a slice of cake and toast slightly on each side with butter.
2. Garnish cake with whipped cream, ice cream and fruit.
3. Serve.
4. Say out loud “Damn that was easy.”
*whispers very quietly* Etamin’s Butter Pound Loaf cuts this recipe from 2 hours to 10 minutes but you didn’t hear this from me
This is the most summery (yes, summery) recipe I’ve ever made! September begins next week and the recipes will be getting a bit heavier… more season appropriate. As always, I accept all recommendations and if I don’t have it I’ll find it for you. In the name of all things “for scratch,” your resident SoPhi baker is here to help.
