Great quote. That was you my man, YOU SAID THAT. After watching that debate you allegedly had Wednesday night, that’s what I want you to repeat to yourself, as many times as necessary. By the way, What happened to that guy? That wasn’t the guy I saw on Wednesday night. Granted, let me be clear – the only substance to come off from the stage came from you. Anyone with a lick of smarts recognized the bullshit artist that is Mitt Romney. He has done what we’ve come to know him to do: dress up that ball of nuclear waste he calls “A plan for America” in a nice fancy Tiffany box he borrowed from Newt, and a bow he had a low wage worker hand knit before he fired them. See Barack, we get all that. WE EXPECTED THAT. Mitt Romney didn’t TAKE that debate, you just walked away from it. America isn’t stupid by far. We witnessed Mitt Romney tap dance around every topic possible. However, we expected you to say “nah nah” instead of “um uh.” He basically put his political hind parts on a tee-ball stand and said “Swing Mr. President, I dare you.” NOTHING he said was genius, it was just aggressive. You’re the president, you couldn’t believe he spoke to you that way, huh? I understand. Of all people in the world, I understand completely. However, remember when you checked that reporter in the Rose Garden for cutting you off and being disrespectful? That’s the Barack that should have showed up a little into the debates last night. Take a look..
See there? You were assertive. You took no shit. You didn’t allow a heckler to catch you off guard and rattle you, you delivered a clear, precise, direct reason on why you passed the bill that you did. There is nothing to take from that because YOU are president and you asserted your authority as THE MAN.
Let’s get to the elephant in the room. No, and its not Mitt Romney, nor any other GOP figure. It’s you, being black. At times coming off a tad over calculating because you don’t want anyone to notice your blackness or that you don’t want anyone to label you “The Samuel L. Jackson President” aka ‘The Angry Black Guy.’ We get it. We understand you are everyone’s president, However there is no hiding or tamping down who or what you are. Muslim didn’t stick because it wasn’t true, You not being born in America didn’t stick because it wasn’t true. However, sir.. YOU ARE BLACK. You are a great AND accurate representation of black men. When given the proper opportunity we can compete and be everything we dream of being and more. You helped prove that we can accomplish one of the greatest things on earth. WE are proud of you. Black men AS WELL AS the millions of people in other races who refuse to judge one based on the color of their skin. However, as of the morning after the debate you have been called every name BUT the you know what.
I mean, see for yourself what former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu said..
No one is asking you to stoop to the level of imbeciles. Of course we don’t want that. I’m making you aware, that we are aware that everyone with eyes and ears notices the deck being stacked against you. There’s those of us who are glad it is, then there’s those of us, like myself, who wish it wasn’t… but we’ve foreseen it and we aren’t shocked at all by the underlying racial tones in our political landscape since your election. I mean, for crying out loud Ralph Nader himself said you will either be Uncle Sam or Uncle Tom the night you were elected. You didn’t even make it to the honeymoon before the race card was pulled. Accept it, embrace it, and make them even more infuriated by being a success. However don’t shy, or cower. We as Americans aren’t cowards, we as African Americans are not either. You represent ALL of America right? Re-watch that debate, dust yourself off and politically punch him in his flip floppin’ “whatever I think they want to hear” mouth. We believe in you, we have your back; but first… you have to get up, defend yourself, execute the game plan and and win this thing going away.
I’m from Philadelphia, I’ll just chalk this previous debate up to your best Rocky impression. The champ has to go down before he wins right? Well, It’s the 12th round, champ – get out there and win it for the people. To go back to your quote at the top. The time is now, not a week before the election, don’t wait for a scandal to hit, YOU knock him out. You hear that champ? It’s the crowd chanting… we’re ready and waiting.
