Man, reading that number made my stomach hurt. I can never understand how people spend that much in a titty bar but hey! According to NFL.com (that means it’s some official shit and not just something that I pulled out of my ass), “Pops” filed a lawsuit in Miami against the Baltimore Raven for $375,000 in services racked up in his titty bars between February 2009 and September 2010. Lol at “services”. Charles “Pops” Young, also known for being the father of Miami rap OG Trick Daddy, claims that the benched NFL athlete signed a promissory note that stated that he’d clear his tab. He wants McKinnie to pay his unpaid tab plus interest ANNNND court costs. That’s a lot of damn money to be shelling out for somebody who came into the current NFL season owing the Pro Player Funding $4.5 million for a loan he took out during the lock out and took a $1 million paycut to stay on the Ravens!
In an interview with the Baltimore Sun, Bryant McKinnie stated:
“What strip club gives you a $375,000 tab. It just sounds stupid to me. I’ve never heard of this in my life. This is bogus to me.”
…and if you think about it, it kind of is but in this industry, business owners do it all of the time. Jewelers are well known for letting celebrities walk out with thousands in jewelry without paying thinking that they’ll get taken care of at a later time just because the people are in the public eye and seem to have money. If this accusation is TRUE against Bryant McKinnie, I’m extremely surprised at “Pops” judgment in letting somebody continuously rack up a tab in such a long span of time without them paying up.
Bryant McKinnie is well known in Miami for being a former Miami Hurricane All American, his B Major record label, and for partying with his celebrity friends.
