Do we really want to hear an album with the remaining TLC?

Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ death back in 2002 was of course a tragedy and a devastating loss.  Ten years after her passing, T-Boz has confirmed that Chilli and herself are working on a new TLC album. After her death, the remaining members of the group attempted to find a new member of TLC to replace Lisa and then even ended up dropping the ‘3D’ album that had her vocals on it. As a fan of TLC,  the trio as a collective were what made the group what it was. Attempting to fill the void with a new member was never the answer to me. Here’s what T-Boz said in reference to the new album:

“We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time. We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it.”

I’m curious to hear what kind of material they release though. It’s been a while. Do you think they’ll be successful in the Resurrection of “TLC”. Guess we have to wait and see…..
