Happy Saturday ladies and gents! This week has been AMAZE for me. I lost 2.5 lbs…woohoo. And I started grad school. Now, we all know this is a holiday weekend, which means holiday SALES! Make sure you get out this weekend and take advantage of the Labor Day sales. I’m headed to Home Depot today to buy a new stove. Not as exciting as shoes, but a necessity nonetheless. Speaking of shoes, this week I am giving you four instead of three because I simply could not decide on three. This week features the ever lovely and super trendy lace boot.
Nicholas Kirkwood “Lace Bootie”
Nicki Minaj debuted these in a video last month and I have been obsessed with them ever since. I love that the lace is paired with the rope platform. It gives some edge to a traditionally feminine material. These have been added to my wishlist.
Oscar de la Renta “Mesh Lace Boot”
Oscar de la Renta is timeless, and so are these boots. They are simply beautiful. You definitely don’t want to wear these with a long pant. Choose a dress, skirt or cropped pant so the entire boot is visible. All of this loveliness needs to be seen. This is a boot that will outlast the current lace trend and will be relevant for years.
Brian Atwood “Linford 2 Lace Bootie”
These are my favorite on the list because I have them. Brain Atwood is quickly becoming one of my favorite shoe designers. His shoes are the perfect blend edge and sophistication. This bootie is an awesome example. I like multifunctional footwear. These are perfect for work and for play, which I love. *Side Note: check out the sale going on right now on www.brianatwood.com. I bought three pairs of shoes. You’re welcome!
ZigiGirl “Piarry Lace Boot”
These are just FUN! Personally, I am not brave enough to wear the m outside with the outfit required to pull them off (I’m thinking a bodysuit and cropped fur jacket). However, I would certainly wear them around my bedroom for my boo thang. If you can pull these off…weeeerk!
I haven’t has a drink all week because I have been on a juicing diet. Tomorrow, as soon as 12 noon hits, I will be making one of these. I hope my tolerance didn’t drop…
Coconut Long Island Iced Tea
¼ oz Ciroc Coconut
¼ oz 1800 Coconut
¼ oz Bacardi Spiced Rum
¼ oz Bombay Sapphire
¼ oz Grand Marnier
½ oz pineapple juice
1 oz cola
Splash of Sweet & Sour
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain into a tall glass. Garnish with pineapple chunk. Enjoy!
Until next time…
