Summer’s almost over so before you take your well-earned nap from all the boat rides, day parties and summer travels , it’s time to take a look at the what fall 2014 has in store. Identifying trends from hundreds of shows is no easy feat, but I’m going to do my best to encompass the fall season’s MUST haves. Between the glamourous coats and comfy wraps, designers must be catching on to comfortable dressing more than ever! What are you waiting for? Let’s go! This Fall’s Fashion Report!
No rules, I repeat- NO RULES. Patterns are fun, sexy and they never go out of style! Mix and match, layering, even color blocking works, you really can’t go wrong. What I love most about patterns is they’re vivid, they add life to your wardrobe and there’s always a time and place for it.
Sexy.. Cozy.. Cool
Real fur or Faux Fur, you choose. I personally don’t believe you have to spend a gazillion dollars to achieve this elegant look. I’m obsessed with beautiful fur coats and sexy fur vests. No doubt this fashion choice is a show stopper, whether you’re running errands or attending the ballet – a fur coat, vest or scarf is always a good idea.
This look for fall has to be one of my all-time favorites by far. Perfect, Elegant and effortless. Architecturally inspired clothing offers clean lines and cool cuts. The hourglass silhouette from the 40s has been translated into fitted skirts with clinched in waists, high necks and military styles are still here but with a feminine twist this round. This day to night style is the epitome of sexy and sassy.
It’s a Wrap
Let’s put it down to the polar vortex’s impact, designers probably got the feeling that thefashion crowd would rather be under a blanket than freezing in the name of fashion (which I for one, am totally willing to do). However, it’s now officially socially acceptable to throw a blanket over your shoulders and roam the streets of your chosen city – and I couldn’t be happier about it! This Autumn , throws, wraps and fashion blankets are going to be clinging to the shoulders of countless bloggers and daring civilians – and we have our some of our favoritefashion houses to thank.
I really am super excited for Fall, and all the new fashions it’ll introduce. I have fun in Spring and less is sometimes best during the Summer, BUT the moment September commences I’ll be breaking in my thigh-high boots, throw on my light fur and the world will be my runway! See you there xoxo
